We sell and support a full range of devices for the NextG mobile network. When utilising a nextG enabled network device you get a collection of applications to use and download from free of charge. These include;

It is free to browse within the Home and Search tabs of BigPond® Mobile Services. That means you can check the weather, sports results and news as often as you like for free!

Charges apply however for content downloads and subscription services - you will always be notified of these charges before you purchase or subscribe.

Browsing charges will apply when you visit sites from the Web tab, or directly access websites from your mobile browser by typing in a URL.

Internet & Data Browsing Charges for Mobile Phones and PDA's

Browsing charges are based on the amount of data that you use to browse and download, not on the amount of time spent using the application. These charges only apply when you:

• access sites on the Web tab such as ebay, MySpace Mobile, Yahoo! and Hotmail through BigPond® Mobile
• leave the Home or Search tabs (for example, by clicking on an external website link in a Sensis Search results screen) or
• directly access sites from your mobile browser (for example by directly typing in a URL or selecting a bookmarked site from your mobile browser).

So which Browsing Pack is right for you?

There are several types.

• Pay as you go (PAYG)
• PC Packs
• Data Packs

PAY AS YOU GO
If you don’t select a Browsing Pack, the Pay As You Go rate will apply to browse and download content on your mobile. The Pay As You Go rate is $2/MB. Pay As You Go doesn't have any included allowance, and you will be charged on a kilobyte (or part) basis.  For example if you use 0.5MB in one session, it will cost $1.

PC PACKS (Timed charging)
Timed charging on the PC Pack is a great option if you want to access your email, the Internet or your office intranet using a laptop or notebook device in short sessions.

Pricing is based on the time spent connected and is charged in 5 minute blocks (or part thereof). For a monthly service fee, you will get a set number of hours of included eligible data per month which can be used for eligible mobile broadband data usage and includes access to any of Telstra's Wireless Hotspots across Australia.

Telstra Mobile Broadband PC Packs also give you the flexibility and choice of casual or 24 month contract term options. The month to month pricing plan gives you the option to purchase the mobile broadband device either outright or on a Monthly Repayment Option, whilst the 24 month contracted plans offer you a compatible mobile broadband device at a subsidised price.

DATA PACKS (Kilobyte charging)
Perfect for 'always on' connectivity, the Data Pack pricing plans are based on data usage and charged in 1 kilobyte blocks (or part thereof). The plans include a set number of allowed kilobytes as part of an included monthly allowance, which can be used for all eligible Telstra Mobile Broadband data usage.
